Agriculture Minister attends IFAD Governing Council session

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 44th session of the Governing Council of United Nations International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) was held on Zoom on February 17-18. Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry (MOFA) Z.Mendsaikhan, the minister’s advisor N.Tserenbat, and Director of the MOFA International Cooperation Department B.Ganzorig took part in the session.
At this year’s session, consultations took place on 11thand 12th replenishments of IFAD’s resources as well as the results of the internal audit of the 2019 financial report. Moreover, IFAD President was appointed and IFAD Governing Council members and alternate members were elected. Specifically, IFAD President Gilbert F. Houngbo was reappointed for a second four-year term.
