On March 21, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene, accompanied by some members of the Parliament and the Government members, visited Bayan-Ulgii aimag to see some works being carried out in the aimag.

The PM met with the local authorities to hear about the socio-economic situation and pressing issues in the aimag, and deputed corresponding officials to complete the tender process urgently, intensify investment works, ensure the preparation of medical checkups to be launched from May 1, and actively participate in the 'Atar-4’ campaign.

Afterwards, Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene has presented the ‘New Revival Policy’ to the citizens of Bayan-Ulgii aimag and heard their views.

“The key goal of the ‘New Revival Policy’ is to expand the economic base of Mongolia and increase the economy by 3-4 times. To achieve this goal, the Government of Mongolia is working to resolve six factors causing hurdles in the country's development. The Government will adhere to the principle of resolving pressing issues with the participation of local people. Within the framework of the ‘New Revival Policy’, major construction works will be carried out to support tourism, infrastructure, and industry based on the features and advantages of Bayan-Ulgii aimag,” said the Prime Minister.

The meeting was attended by more than 400 citizens representing all soums of Bayan-Ulgii aimag. Citizens' suggestions were received on the projects to develop the aimag's socio-economy and promote employment. Out of 402 citizens surveyed, 80 percent supported to put the Asgat silver deposit in Nogoon Nuur soum of Bayan-Ulgii aimag into economic circulation. Upon receiving the locals’ suggestion, the PM tasked the corresponding officials to report an issue on putting the Asgat silver deposit into economic circulation at the Cabinet meeting.
