Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Visits the Kingdom of Bahrain

Ulaanbaatar, February 25, 2025 /MONTSAME/. On February 25, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Dorjkhand Togmid met with Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Shaikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. At the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for Bahrain to invest in Mongolia’s energy, mining, and agricultural sectors, as well as fostering cooperation in culture. The two sides also exchanged views on introducing Bahrain’s good practices in managing residential development and attracting foreign investments to Mongolia.
Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Dorjkhand Togmid noted, “Mongolia, with its vast territory and abundant mineral resources, is the closest country to the world’s second-largest economy and is open to foreign investments. Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, are highly interested in investing in Mongolia, especially in the energy sector. Mongolia aims to cooperate with the Kingdom of Bahrain in energy, mining, agriculture, and culture.”
Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa expressed his gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia Dorjkhand Togmid for paying a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain on behalf of the Government of Mongolia. He highlighted Bahrain’s success in attracting foreign investment and emphasized the potential cooperation between the two countries in transportation and logistics, mining, agriculture, energy, and the establishment of data centers. The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the Arab countries are keen on the recent agreement between Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China, which opens up opportunities for Mongolia to export renewable energy to China.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia met with Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who serves as Chairman of the Supreme Council for Energy and Natural Resources, National Security Advisor, and Commander of the Royal Guard. It is worth noting that the Economic Development Council under the Prime Minister of Mongolia is actively studying Bahrain’s best practices in attracting foreign investment with the aim of implementing similar strategies in Mongolia.
