Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of New Zealand to Visit Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, February 25, 2025 /MONTSAME/. At the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of New Zealand Winston Peters will pay an official visit to Mongolia on February 27-28, 2025.


This is the first high-level visit by a New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs to Mongolia since 2013 and will take place in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and New Zealand. During the visit, Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve and Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai will receive Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Winston Peters. Also, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of New Zealand Winston Peters will hold official talks.


During the talks and meetings, the two parties will exchange views on expanding cooperation in economy, agriculture, tourism, and education and defining priority areas of cooperation.


Mongolia and New Zealand established diplomatic relations on April 8, 1975.
