Development Policy of Transport and Logistics Zone of Hunnu City to Be Discussed

Ulaanbaatar, April 29, 2025 /МОНЦАМЭ/. The New Zuunmod, also called Hunnu City, will be developed as a specialized satellite city for public administration, higher education, transport and logistics, tourism, and finance.
Ulaanbaatar plans to implement 24 mega-projects between 2025 and 2028. These include the Hunnu City Project and a branch railway from Bagakhangai Station to Hunnu City. The 102.5-kilometre railroad, extending toward the Shuvuun Fabrik area, is designed to carry 3.5 to 20 million tons of freight annually directly to the logistics hub without passing through central Ulaanbaatar. This is expected to ease congestion in the Capital City, reduce traffic load, and support the new residential zone in Hunnu City.
