Over 180 Countries Participate in the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament

Ulaanbaatar, July 30, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament commenced in Geneva, the Swiss Confederation, on July 29, 2025.
The 2025 Conference aims at strengthening multilateral cooperation; promoting responsibility and democracy in international relations among parliaments and parliamentarians; supporting parliamentary diplomacy for peace and mutual understanding; amplifying the voice of citizens within the United Nations; and helping translate global commitments into national realities.
A total of 84 Speakers and 18 Deputy Speakers from the parliaments of 180 member countries of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) are attending the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament.
Speaker of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve was welcomed by President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Tulia Ackson, Secretary General of the IPU Martin Chungong, Director-General of the United Nations Office (UN) at Geneva Tatiana Valovaya, and Chef de Cabinet to the UN Secretary-General Earle Courtenay Rattray.
The Mongolian delegation includes Speaker D. Amarbayasgalan and Members of Parliament Bat-Erdene Jadamba, Sandag-Ochir Tsend, Ariunzaya Ayush, Baasanjargal Khurelbaatar, and Ganbaatar Gombo.
Speaker Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve will deliver a speech at the General Debate of the Conference, addressing the theme “A World in Turmoil: Parliamentary Cooperation and Multilateralism for Peace, Justice and Prosperity for All.”
