Mongolia and the Republic of Korea to Develop the Spatial Information Sector

Ulaanbaatar, August 14, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Director General of the General Authority for Land Administration and Management, Geodesy, and Cartography, Enkhmanlai Anand, received representatives of the Spatial Information Industry Promotion Agency (SpaceN) and the Spatial Information Quality Management Service (SIQMS) of the Republic of Korea on August 13, 2025.
During the meeting, the three organizations exchanged views on expanding cooperation and jointly implementing a four-year project from 2027 to 2031 aimed at developing Mongolia’s spatial information sector and improving related technologies through knowledge and experience sharing. The sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding to this effect.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding, the parties agreed to cooperate in sharing knowledge, expertise, and technologies related to spatial information; enhancing spatial information quality control and management; conducting joint research and projects; and organizing capacity-building training for professionals.
The cooperation is expected to boost the development and technological advancement of the spatial information sector in Mongolia while strengthening the friendly relations and partnership between the two countries.
