Fifteen Emergency Management Officers to Serve in Peacekeeping Operation

Ulaanbaatar, September 1, 2025 /MONTSAME/. A deployment ceremony for officers was held on August 29, 2025, in connection with fifteen officers from the Emergency Management who are deployed to serve within Mongolia’s Armed Forces 15th Motorized Infantry Battalion in the United Nations peacekeeping operation “UNMISS” in the Republic of South Sudan.
Chief of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Major General Ariunbuyan Gombojav, emphasized, “Officers of the Emergency Management Agency have been serving the great mission of establishing world peace since 2012. The fame and achievements of peacekeepers of previous generations have laid the foundation for today’s success. Therefore, uphold the honor of your agency and homeland, and fulfill your assigned duties with dignity.”
On this occasion, the Commander of the 15th rotation unit handed over the NEMA’s flag to the Fire Inspector of Fire Control Station No. 71 under the Tsengel Soum Emergency Department of Bayan-Ulgii aimag, Lieutenant Colonel T. Unurbek, and handed over the required uniforms and equipment to the officers performing their duties.
The fifteen officers consist of two officers and 13 non-commissioned officers from the Capital and local emergency management departments and units.
