Mongolia, Kazakhstan Discuss New Air Route, Regularizing Flight Frequency

Ulaanbaatar, September 5, 2025 /MONTSAME/. At the invitation of the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Koshanov, the Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia, Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve, is on an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.


During the visit, the Mongolian delegation, led by Chairman Amarbayasgalan, met with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbaev, to exchange views on bilateral relations and cooperation.


Chairman Maulen Ashimbaev conveyed congratulations on the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Mongolia’s permanent legislative body, commending the development of the Mongolian Parliament since the beginning of its democratic journey and its consistent efforts to serve the aspirations and interests of the people. He also introduced members of the Mongolia-Kazakhstan Parliamentary Friendship Group and emphasized efforts to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation.


He noted that both countries intend to intensify trade and economic cooperation, expand major projects and programs, and enhance collaboration in science and education.


Chairman Amarbayasgalan expressed appreciation for the continuity of high-level dialogues and mutual visits, highlighting that inter-parliamentary cooperation has long served as a cornerstone of bilateral relations. He pledged to ensure the effective implementation of the official discussions held with the Mazhilis Chairman, Yerlan Koshanov, aiming to maximize mutual benefits.

During the visit, the State Great Khural and the Mazhilis signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, strengthening the legal framework for bilateral legislative collaboration.


The meeting also addressed regional and international cooperation, resolving challenges in transport, establishing new air routes, and increasing and regularizing direct flight frequency. Following the discussions, the Mongolian delegation toured the Senate building.


The delegation includes members of the Mongolia-Kazakhstan Parliamentary Friendship Group in the State Great Khural, as well as representatives from five parliamentary parties and coalitions, the Media and Public Relations Department of the State Great Hural reported.
