U.S. Volunteer Teachers Begin Yearlong English Program in Sukhbaatar Aimag

Sukhbaatar, October 22, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Two volunteer teachers from the United States have arrived in Sukhbaatar aimag in eastern Mongolia to begin a yearlong initiative aimed at advancing English education in the region.
The volunteers will lead conversational English courses for local secondary school teachers and students, while also offering free public lessons for citizens and teenagers. The program is designed to improve speaking skills among youth and adults interested in learning English, and to support local educators by introducing modern teaching methods, enriching the curriculum, and fostering professional exchange.
The initiative is a joint effort between the Office of the Governor of Sukhbaatar aimag, the aimag’s Department of Education, and the Deseret International Charities. Governor Iderbat Manlaibaatar has expressed his full support for the program and the contributions of the volunteer educators.
Training sessions will be held three times a week and are scheduled to continue for one year.
