Healthcare Workers to Launch Nationwide Strike on November 13

Ulaanbaatar, November 5, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Healthcare professionals and staff announced at a press conference on November 4, 2025, that they will begin a nationwide strike on November 13, 2025.
The Executive Council of the Mongolian Health Workers Union (MHWU) held an extraordinary meeting on November 4 and officially resolved to stage the strike. The Council stated that despite repeatedly calling for an increase in base salaries to MNT 3.5 million, no concrete solution has been reached. Therefore, the union has declared a labor dispute in accordance with Article 25.1.2 of the Labor Law and will proceed with a strike.
The Council is set to submit an official notice along with its resolution to the
Ministry of Health. Under the law, the strike will begin five working
days after the notification is delivered on November 13, 2025.
