MPP Group Backs Uchral for Speaker of Parliament

Ulaanbaatar, November 20, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) caucus in the State Great Khural has voted by majority to endorse Uchral Nyam-Osor as its nominee for Speaker of Parliament.
MPP Secretary-General Sodbaatar Yangug attended the meeting, along with Secretaries Zolbayar Ulziibayar and Enkhbaatar Nyamaa, who presented the decisions of the MPP Conference and Executive Council. They confirmed that MPP Chair, First Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Economy and Development Uchralt Nyam-Osor is being put forward as the party’s official candidate for Chairman of the State Great Khural.
The MPP caucus subsequently approved his
nomination with a majority vote.
