Ulaanbaatar, December 5, 2025 /MONTSAME/. A phased disinfection work has begun in school classrooms to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students.
The effort follows the temporary shift of elementary school classes to online learning, a measure introduced in response to rising cases of influenza and seasonal flu across the Capital city.
According to the Governor’s Office of the Capital City of Ulaanbaatar, classrooms and frequently touched surfaces at the 18th Secondary School in Khan-Uul District have been disinfected using specialized solutions. The air-and-surface disinfection work is being carried out by staff from seven professional organizations across 182 schools, covering 700,000 square meters. In the first stage, schools in the six central districts are being disinfected, with plans to extend the operation to all schools and kindergartens citywide.
The disinfection work will continue from December 4 to 10.
