Foreign Minister Battsetseg Meets Executive Secretary of UN ESCAP

Ulaanbaatar, April 24, 2024 /MONTSAME/. On the sidelines of the 80th Session of the ESCAP in Bangkok, Thailand, Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh, who is chairing the 80th Session, met with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific Armida Alisjahbana on April 22, 2024.
At the meeting, Foreign Minister Battsetseg highlighted that since joining ESCAP in 1961, Mongolia has been actively engaging in cooperation and initiatives in trade, investment, environment, statistics, poverty reduction, energy, transit, disaster risk reduction, trade facilitation and the interest of landlocked developing countries. Therefore, the Foreign Minister noted that the support provided by the Commission is of utmost importance for the country’s contribution and participation in the sustainable development of the region.
