Cabinet discusses draft revision to tobacco law

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Cabinet Wednesday decided to propose certain suggestions on draft revision to Law on Tobacco Control, initiated by Parliament member B.Battumur.
The draft revision proposes several measures such as determining some terms in the Law in compliance with Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, resizing the health warnings on tobacco products, improving the social responsibility of media organizations, banning plantation of tobacco plants, increasing the excise tax imposed on tobacco products, making workplace environment tobacco-free, banning illegal tobacco sales, and banning tobacco import and export at some customs control zones.
