Local kindergarten aims to enroll all kindergarten age children of soum

Zavkhan /MONTSAME/ With non-refundable fund of MNT 711 million from the Japanese Government, a new kindergarten with capacity of 150 children was constructed and put into operation in Telmen soum, Zavkhan aimag on April 23.
The construction work was executed by Kenjiku LLC of Japan. They constructed the building in accordance with the plan to develop Telmen soum as a model soum which connected to central heating system. Additional MNT 200 million was spent on solving the kindergarten’s heating system, water, and pipeline engineering. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports solved the additional cost. Thus, it enabled local children to study in the same environment with city children.
Director of the Kindergarten said that the new building resulted in better attendance and engagement. In addition, ‘Teacher Development Center’ at the kindergarten is providing opportunities to teachers to develop themselves.
Before, over 120 children were studying in the kindergarten with capacity of 50 children, which built in 1963. There are 325 kindergarten age children in Telmen soum. So far, the new kindergarten is operating with four groups with 135 children. The Manager of the Kindergarten noted that the kindergarten is aiming enroll all kindergarten age children of the soum.
