Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Rain with thunder and lightning is expected in western parts of western aimags on September 9, in western and central aimags and in southern parts of gobi aimags on September 10, in central, gobi and eastern aimags on September 11, in eastern aimags and in western parts of western aimags on September 12.
It will snow in mountainous areas. There will be stronger wind in areas of western aimags on September 9, in most of the country on September 10, and in gobi and prairie areas on September 11, reaching 16-18m/s.
The temperature will drop in western parts of the country on September 10, with further drops in most area of the country.
In the depression of Darkhad, in mountainous areas of Altai, Khangai, Khuvsgul and Khentii, the nighttime temperature will be – 2 to -7 degrees Celsius, in the daytime temperature will be +4 to +9 degrees Celsius.
Southern parts of gobi region will have relatively warmer nights at +6 to +11 degrees Celsius and hotter days between +18 and +23 degrees Celsius.
In other regions, the nighttime temperature will be from -1 to +4 degrees Celsius, whereas the daytime temperature will be +9 to +14 degrees Celsius.
The forecast says that soil temperature will drop sharply.
