Views exchanged on opportunities to expand relations and cooperation

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. MP and Head of the Mongolia-Cuba
Parliamentary Group in the State Great Khural B. Bat-Erdene received Ambassador
of Cuba to Mongolia Jorge Ferrer Rodriguez on March 31.
At the meeting, the Cuban Ambassador expressed his
commitment to expanding bilateral relations and cooperation in the fields of
health, biotechnology, education and agriculture, and conveyed a greeting of
the Head of Cuba-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship Group in the National
Assembly of People’s Power to MP B.Bat-Erdene.
Mr. Bat-Erdene noted that Mongolia and Cuba have been
strengthening their traditional friendly relations for 61 years since the
establishment of diplomatic relations.
“The Republic of Cuba has been providing government
scholarships to Mongolian students for many years. The students play an
important role to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries. We believe that in the future, the two
countries are possible to cooperate in introducing new technologies of science,
health and biotechnology in Mongolia and training specialists, and in the field
of physical culture and sports.”
The ambassador underlined that the health sector is a
traditional field that takes an important position in the bilateral relations,
and expressed his commitment to pay special attention to the realization of the
Memorandums of Understanding and agreements established between the two
countries.
He also expressed an interest to introduce Cuba’s
achievements of medical science, especially biotechnology in Mongolia’s health
sector.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the opportunities
to expand relations and cooperation between the two countries and unanimously agreed
to work actively to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields.
