Credentials presented to IMO Secretary-General

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Ambassador of Mongolia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland B.Enkhsukh presented his Credentials of Permanent Representative to the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Kitack Lim on May 16, 2022.
During the meeting, Ambassador B.Enkhsukh informed Secretary-General Kitack Lim that Mongolia has joined more than 30 International Maritime conventions and the Government of Mongolia has approved a specific plan for the Implementation of the Maritime Sector Agreements and Conventions to which Mongolia is a Partner.
He also highlighted that the revised draft Maritime Law of Mongolia is under review at the State Great Khural of Mongolia. During the meeting, Ambassador B.Enkhsukh and Secretary-General Kitack Lim exchanged views on technical cooperation in reforming Mongolia's maritime legislation and building human resource capacity in this field and expressed their willingness to increase Mongolia's participation in the IMO's activities.
Secretary-General Kitack Lim congratulated Ambassador B.Enkhsukh
on his appointment as Permanent Representative and informed possible areas for
technical assistance to Mongolia.
