Mongolia and Japan hold 4th Consular Consultation meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Fourth consular consultation meeting between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Japan was held successfully in Tokyo on October 27, 2022.
The meeting was co-chaired by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Mr. Ankhbayar Nyamdorj and Senior Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. Yamada Shigeo.
The parties evaluated the current state of bilateral relations and exchanged views on short and medium-term goals. The parties noted that dialogue and negotiation mechanisms between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries were successfully implemented and bilateral cooperation was expanding.
They also exchanged views on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan, which is being marked this year.
State Secretary N. Ankhbayar emphasized the importance of further enriching the strategic partnership between the two countries in economic and trade cooperation and implementing joint projects and programs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the two countries decided to cooperate closely to establish a new strategic partnership program between Mongolia and Japan in the near future.
During the meeting,
the two sides also discussed the regional and international situation.
