‘Mongolian oil refinery’ state company to have subsidiary

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The Cabinet, at its session today, January 6, made following decisions.
- ‘Mongolian oil refinery’ state-owned company to be extended with a subsidiary company, aimed at having an independent financial resources and achieving freedom from debt burden. The subsidiary will be in charge of oil supply and retail activities. On behalf of the Mongolian government, ‘Mongolian oil refinery’ state-owned company is responsible for the implementation oil refinery project underway in Dornogobi aimag in cooperation with the Indian government.
- Based on a conclusion by the Specialized Inspection Agency and Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, the Cabinet revoked tobacco manufacturer license of ‘Michidtrust’ and ‘Ekh Jargalan Trade’ companies on a series of breaches in their operations.
- It had been decided that the local government to take charge of the control and protection on the field in Tsetserleg soum, Arkhangai aimag, where mining licenses were revoked. Concerning this, Minister of Environment N.Tserenbat was ordered to finance the procurement of fully equipped surveillance trailer suitable for cold weather. In addition, the Cabinet has given an order to the governors of 21 aimags of Mongolia to reinforce their actions to combat illegal gold mining.
- The cabinet made amendments to the regulation on selecting the best artists, to award one person in each category of best writer in stage and screen arts, best music composer, best producer, best conductor, best choreographer, best musician, best singer, best dancer and best artist. In the past 11 year, the government of Mongolia awarded MNT 231 million to 77 artists in total.
