Draft principles for economic and social growth in 2021 to be submitted to Parliament

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting dated on April 22, the Cabinet discussed and agreed to submit a draft resolution on Main Directions for Economic and Social Development of Mongolia in 2021 to the Parliament.
A total of 103 actions are included in the draft resolution within 18 objectives of five main policies. The criteria for each objective, financial sources, correlation of its purposes and measures with long and medium term programs, policy documents and the responsible organizations are clearly stated.
The document outlines to improve legal environment of food, agriculture and light Industries to provide population with healthy and safe food products and to support small and medium enterprises. Moreover, expansion and renovation of power stations are projected while ensuring continued, reliable operation of the energy sector.
It also contains goals to create a safe and healthy environment for citizens as well as support the development of education, art and culture and sports, enable large-scale development works and increase investment.
According to the estimation, total investment of MNT 10.3 trillion will be required to finance the 103 actions reflected in the resolution.
On the same day, the Cabinet discussed and backed up 2021 fiscal framework statement of general budget of Mongolia and a draft law on budget assumption of 2022-2023 and agreed to submit them to the Parliament.
