Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The women’s Olympic marathon kicked off in Sapporo, Japan at 6 am on August 7.

IM B.Munkhzaya successfully completed the marathon and finished 45th, running a seasonal best of 2 hours 37 minutes and 8 seconds.

Despite the original plans to organize the event from 7 am, the Tokyo Olympics women’s marathon was moved forward by one hour due to heat concerns.

Of the 88 runners that competed in the marathon, fifteen entrants dropped out as the region is currently seeing record temperatures.
