Japanese Ambassador Presents Letter of Credence

Ulaanbaatar, December 12, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Igawahara Masaru presented his Letter of Credence to President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa on December 12, 2023. 

 

President Khurelsukh emphasized that Mongolia-Japan relations and cooperation have been developed and expanded under the “Special Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity,” based on shared values of democracy, human rights, and freedom. The Mongolian President commended that the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan was solemnly celebrated in 2022. 

 

President Khurelsukh expressed confidence that Ambassador Igawahara Masaru, appointed during the new Japanese era "Reiwa," the beginning of the next half-century of relations between Mongolia and Japan, would further strengthen the achievements of bilateral relations, wishing him success. 

 


Newly appointed Ambassador Igawahara Masaru expressed his commitment to advance human-centered relations and cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic development, culture, and education and to actively cooperate through attracting Japanese investment to Mongolia, accelerating major infrastructure projects, and intensifying economic cooperation. 

 

At the Meeting, the two sides affirmed eagerness to intensify high-level exchanges and deepen Mongolia-Japan cooperation in the regional and international arena.
