EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In the first four months of this year, 46.3 million shares were traded with a total value of MNT 113.9 billion in the stock market.
The security trade turnover decreased by MNT 324.6 billion or 74.0%, while the number of traded stocks increased by 30.9 million or 3.0 times compared to same period of the previous year.
In the secondary market, traded were governmental bonds of MNT 21.7 billion in the first four months of 2016, which declined by MNT 249.9 billion or 92.0% against the previous year. In April 2016, governmental bonds of MNT 0.1 billion were traded which decreased by MNT 1.4 billion or 90% against March and by MNT 220.0 billion or 99.9% against the previous year.
The total market capitalization was set at MNT 1.3 trillion in April of 2016, showing a decrease of MNT 30.0 billion or 2.3% against the previous month. The Index of Top-20 JSCs was 11,019.8, decreasing by171.4 units against March and by 2093.9 units against the previous year.
