National currency in circulation reaches MNT 968.6 billion

/MONTSAME/ The money supply reached MNT 19.5 trillion at the end of December
2018, showing an increase of 4.4 percent from the previous month and by MNT 3.6
trillion or 22.8 percent from the same period of the previous year.
The
national currency in circulation reached MNT 968.6 billion at the end of
December 2018, showing an increase of 8.2 percent from the previous month and
MNT 62.2 billion or 6.9 percent from the same period of the previous year.
At
the end of December 2018, the amount of outstanding loan to entities,
enterprises and citizens amounted MNT 17.2 trillion, increased by 3 percent
from the previous month and by MNT 3.6 trillion or 26.5 percent from the same
period of the previous year.
The
principals in arrears amounted MNT 848.8 billion at the end of the year,
decreased by 12.9 percent from the previous month, whereas it increased by MNT
25.4 billion or 3.1 percent from the same period of the previous year. The
principals in arrears makes up to 4.9 percent of total loans, showing a decrease
of 0.9 points from the previous month and 1.1 points from the same period of
the previous year.
At
the end of December 2018, the non-performing loans at the banks system amounted
MNT 1.8 trillion, decreased by 13.7 percent from the previous month, whereas it
increased by MNT 631.5 billion or 54.8 percent from the same period of the
previous year. The non-performing loans at the banking system makes up to 10.4 percent
of total loans, showing an increase of 1.9 points from the same period of the
previous year.
