International Day of Artists to be celebrated
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia is celebrating the International Day of Artists for the second year. Initiated by the renowned spiritual teacher, artist and humanitarian Ching Hai the International Artists Day is celebrated on April 3 to honor and cherish all the artists, who brightens the lives of mankind.
Some 500 national artists and more than 1000 artists from Russia, Japan, Sweden and China are invited to the honoring ceremony to be held today at the Corporate Convention Centre.
Green carpet ceremony dedicated to the artists, vegan reception and the ‘Blessing of the Heaven’ concert of more than 250 artists of the Grand Theatre of National Art, State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, State Philharmonic Orchestra and Morin Khuur Ensemble is to be held at the event.
Green carpet ceremony is a call for people to love the planet and go green and the vegan reception calls to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from animal-based industry and stop the climate change.
Moreover, the solo exhibition of Supreme Master Ching Hai will be presented at the ceremony. The exhibition features paintings, poetry, lanterns and jewellery made and written by her.
The event is sponsored by the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association, Mongolian Art Workers Association NGO, State Philharmonic, Theatre Museum, ‘Soyon gegeeruulegch’ channel, Mongol costumes, Morin Khuur ensemble and supported by Culture and Art Department of Ulaanbaatar, Musical Theatre of Arkhangai aimag and Mongolian Organic Green Food Association.
