Ulaanbaatar, September 3, 2025
/MONTSAME/. The Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture and the
National Academic Drama Theatre (NADT) jointly launched the employment-based Bachelor
of Arts in Acting program.
The first “Theater Studio” actor training
program, initiated by Dorjsambuu Gursed, launched in 1990-1992. Now named after
the late Dorjsambuu, the program will provide graduates with Bachelor’s
degrees.
A symbolic bell-ringing took place
in celebration of the beginning of a new academic year. At the opening, the
orchestra of the Mongolian Grand Theatre of National Art and artists of the NADT
performed, and 30 students enrolling in this year’s program rang the first
school bell of the academic year. Enrollments in the employment-based Bachelor
of Arts in Acting program will occur once every four years. Professional acting
lessons will be taught by NADT directors, actors, and master teachers from
professional art institutions.
The program aims to educate and train young actors in real artistic environments, incorporating an innovative curriculum to develop professional skills. This enables senior and middle-generation artists to pass down their valuable heritage to the younger generation.
