Hall of Fame for Mongolian Tank Troops Opens

Ulaanbaatar, September 10, 2025 /MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the establishment of the Armored Tank Troops Branch of the Mongolian Armed Forces, the ‘Hall of Fame for Mongolian Tank Troops’ has been inaugurated at the Mongolian Military Museum on September 9, 2025.
The new hall showcases historical milestones, including the creation of the Special Unit of Armored Vehicles in 1923 and the establishment of the Tank Company within the structure of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Army (MPRA) in 1943. It also highlights the achievements, development, and international success of Mongolia’s tank troops, such as their performance in the ‘Tank Biathlon’ competitions. In addition, the exhibition displays scale models, equipment, portraits of generals who began their careers as tank officers, and other valuable artifacts.
The hall was arranged by the Mongolian Tankers Association at the initiative of the Mongolian Military Museum. It was furnished through contributions and support from generations of servicemen and veterans of the Tank Troops, regarded as the main striking force of the Ground Forces.
