Bayan Mongol Jazz Orchestra to renew its instruments with MNT 250 million

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Bayan Mongol Jazz Orchestra, Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh presented the orchestra MNT 250 million to renew its instruments.
At its regular meeting on April 3, the Cabinet made the decision to provide necessary funding from government reserve to renew the musical instruments of the Bayan Mongol Jazz Orchestra for its 50th anniversary. Mostly consisting of instruments previously used by foreign bands during the 80s and those suited for beginners, the musical instruments of the jazz orchestra hasn’t been renewed since 1990.
When buying new instruments, some issues will be considered including that the instruments should be orchestra level with high quality performance and also have as little negative effect as possible on the health of the musicians.
