Minister of Transport meets Russian Ambassador

/MONTSAME/ Minister of Road and Transport Development B.Enkh-Amgalan met with
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to
Mongolia I.K.Azizov, discussing bilateral cooperation.
Expressing
his pleasure at meeting again with the Ambassador, Minister B.Enkh-Amgalan
thanked the Russian side for collaborating in high-level celebration of the 60th
anniversary of joint development of virgin lands, 70th anniversary
of Ulaanbaatar Railway Mongolia-Russia joint venture, 80th
anniversary of the Victory of the Battle of Khalkhin Gol as a neighboring
country with long-standing friendly relations.
He put forward proposals to further expand and elevate the cooperation, partnering in railway and airport projects, gas supply, and student exchange. The Minister also introduced the plans to establish and operate flight academy, light aircraft assembly center, and aircraft maintenance center accredited by Boeing at the old airport after the new one comes into operation and suggested to collaborate on them.
Thanking the
Minister for accepting his invitation to meet, Ambassador I.K.Azizov pledged to pay special attention to the proposals and concurred with the
Minister on the issue of elevation of bilateral transport cooperation. He then handed
over an invitation of Russian Transport Minister Yevgeny Dietrich to Minister
B.Enkh-Amgalan to attend the Transport Week 2019 to take place in Russia next
month.
