Meal cost for dormitory, kindergarten and schoolchildren increased

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting dated on December 18, the Cabinet made a decision to increase meal cost for per child, who attends kindergartens that work for 8-10 hours to MNT 2475 per day and MNT 3600 for 24-hour kindergartens, special kindergartens and children’s recreation centers.
Whereas, meal cost for per student who lives in school dormitory will be increased to MNT 3475. The Cabinet also resolved to raise lunch cost for per student of primary class of general education schools to MNT 900 and MNT 2400 for special schools. The decision will be entered into force from January 1, 2020. According to a survey, over 640 thousand children will be involved in it at double number in the academic year of 2019-2020.
Meal cost for per child who attends kindergarten was MNT 1650 from 2012 until today, MNT 2400 for 24-hour kindergartens, special kindergartens and children’s recreation centers, MNT 2315 for per child living in dormitory as well as MNT 600 for per student of primary class.
