New Gates Open for Mongolia to Access Seaports of China Through Liaoning Province

Ulaanbaatar, August 13, 2024 /MONTSAME/. A Business Forum for Trade, Economy, and Investment between Mongolia and Liaoning Province of the People’s Republic of China was held at the Kempinski Hotel in Ulaanbaatar on August 13, 2024.

 

Over 100 representatives including authorities of the Liaoning Province headed by the Vice Governor of Liaoning Province Jin Gouwei, authorities of Shenyang, Anshan, and Jinzhou cities, and business owners of the province and the cities participated in the Business Forum.

 

At the Business Forum, organized by the Mongolia-China Friendship Association, with the support of the Embassy of PRC in Mongolia, the city authorities of Shenyang, Anshan, and Jinzhou presented the economic situation and business environment of the northeastern province.


Deputy Governor of Shenyang City Zheng Bin highlighted the intensifying cooperation between Mongolia and the Liaoning Province year by year.


While Mongolia, conducts export and import transport only through the Tianjin seaport of the PRC, the relations and cooperation with Liaoning Province open new gates for Mongolia to be connected to various land and sea ports in China, Deputy Governor Zheng Bin emphasized.  

The Deputy Governor of Shenyang City expressed appreciation that the Mongolian partners are launching relations and cooperation with Liaoning Province and its cities, exploring new possibilities.



Business representatives from 20 Chinese companies including major Chinese companies in energy, animal husbandry, heavy machinery, and equipment such as “SANY” and “TBEA”, as well as the “Shi Lou Group”, Jinzhou City port officials participated in the Business Forum from the Chinese side, while transport logistics and trade companies such as “Khanbogd Irata”, “Ganburd”, “GTI”, and “Soyolon International” took part from the Mongolian side and the parties signed cooperation documents. B2B meetings were held during the Business Forum.


Liaoning province, one of 23 provinces of the People’s Republic of China, located in the northeastern part of the country has a population of nearly 50 million and major cities such as Shenyang, Dalian, and Fushun. The province borders the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea by the Yalu River and is domestically bounded by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Jilin, and Hubei provinces.
