Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Attends Honorary Reception in Tokyo

Ulaanbaatar, March 6, 2025 /MONTSAME/. During her official visit to Japan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh attended an honorary reception organized by the Mongolia-Japan Friendship Association in Tokyo, Japan, on March 5, 2025.
At the honorary reception, Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh delivered a speech, expressing her sincere appreciation for the continuous efforts and dedication of the Japan-Mongolia friendship societies, whose contributions have played a vital role in advancing the relationship between the two countries. The Foreign Minister highlighted that thanks to these collective efforts, the “People-Centered” relations and “Special Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity” between Mongolia and Japan have reached a high level of development.
Minister Battsetseg underscored the importance of the upcoming historic visit of Their Majesties, the Emperor and Empress of Japan, to Mongolia. She conveyed the Mongolian Government’s profound appreciation for this visit, noting that it will deepen the friendship between our peoples, which is a cornerstone of friendly relations, and consolidate the achievements of bilateral relations to date.
The honorary reception brought together over 100 participants, including members of the Japan-Mongolia Friendship Association from the House of Representatives and House of Councillors of the National Diet (Parliament) of Japan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, former ambassadors, as well as representatives from public organizations, friendship societies, and the private sector.
During her visit, Foreign Minister Battsetseg Batmunkh met with Chairman of the Japan-Mongolia Economic Committee Tsubai Hiroyuki. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen public-private partnerships, enhance business and enterprise cooperation, and boost trade and investment.
