Mongolia, New Zealand to Broaden Cooperation Across All Sectors

Ulaanbaatar, September 2, 2025 /MONTSAME/. State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Munkhtushig Lkhanaajav received a copy of the Letter of Credence from New Zealand Ambassador to China and Ambassador-designate to Mongolia, Jonathan Austin, on September 1, 2025.


At the outset of the meeting, State Secretary Munkhtushig congratulated Ambassador Jonathan Austin on officially assuming his duties and extended greetings on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and New Zealand in 2025. He emphasized that Mongolia attaches great importance to further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with New Zealand in trade, economy, education, agriculture, and other sectors.


Ambassador Jonathan Austin expressed his delight at being appointed Ambassador to Mongolia and affirmed his commitment to working diligently to expand the half-century-long friendship and cooperation between the two countries across all fields.
