Food Revolution Boosts Gazar Shim Capacity Twofold

Ulaanbaatar, November 18, 2025 /MONTSAME/. President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa and Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry Enkhbayar Jadamba have visited the Gazar Shim Factory, one of the key implementers of the national Food Revolution movement.
Founded in 1999, the company produces a wide range of products under the Gazar Shim brand, including pickled cucumbers, salads, vegetable purees, compotes, and the artichoke health drink. Within the framework of the Food Revolution, the company has received concessional financing, enabling it to install new equipment, expand its facilities and warehouses, and increase raw-material reserves.
Production volume has reached 10.8 million units, up 44 percent from 2023, and overall manufacturing capacity has doubled.
Executive Director of Gazar Shim Factory JSC, Ganbat Tseepel, noted that sales revenue is projected to grow by 35.6 percent in 2025. The Food Revolution has also enabled the company to expand its product line, introducing five new items that substitute imports: baby puree, mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet chili sauce, and pasta sauce.
In addition, the company has completed construction of a storage facility equipped with deep-freeze units capable of storing 2,400 tonnes of fruits and vegetables. A wastewater treatment facility capable of processing six tonnes per hour has also been commissioned.
