China Donates Clinical Training Facility to Pediatric Rehabilitation Center

Ulaanbaatar, November 19, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Rehabilitation and Development Center for Children with Disabilities (RDCCD), built with support from the Government of China, has become a cornerstone in advancing early detection and developmental support for children with disabilities in Mongolia.
Established as a symbol of Mongolia-China friendship, commemorating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the RDCCD continues to expand its services and impact.
Most recently, a newly equipped clinical training room was officially opened at the center. Funded by the Embassy of China in Ulaanbaatar, the facility is designed to enhance the skills of doctors and medical specialists working with children facing developmental challenges.
The handover ceremony was attended by Saran Gombojav, Advisor to the Minister of Family, Labour and Social Protection; Shen Minjuan, Ambassador of China to Mongolia; An Ye, Chairman of the Board of CTCE Group, a leading Chinese infrastructure and engineering company; Gerel Dovdondorj, Director of the General Authority for the Development of Persons with Disabilities; and Amarjargal Myangaa, Director of the RDCCD, who presented an overview of the center’s mandate and service delivery model.
The RDCCD integrates modern diagnostic and therapeutic tools, offering a wide range of services, including speech, language, and motor therapy, as well as care and rehabilitation counseling for children aged 0 to 16 with developmental challenges.
Recent reports indicate that over 11,000 children aged 0 to 18 in Mongolia are living with disabilities, underscoring the importance of expanding specialized services and professional training in the sector.
