Ulaanbaatar, December 3, 2025
/MONTSAME/. Prime Minister Zandanshatar Gombojav has issued a directive
establishing a non-staff Development Policy Council, comprised of over 20 leading
scholars, researchers, and experts in the scientific sector.
The Development Policy Council,
aimed to propose solutions addressing the economy, social development,
technological advancement, environment, urban planning, family, and youth, held
its first meeting on December 1, 2025. Instead of considering the five-year
policy guidelines as solely the responsibility of the state, the Council will
formulate optimal strategies and solutions to implement them in synergy with private
sector participation and investment.
Aside from scholars and researchers from the scientific field, the Council includes over 10 Members of Parliament. As the Council is non-staff, it will not require any state budget funding.
