Cultural and Diplomatic Events Highlight 50 Years of Mongolia–Mexico Relations

Ulaanbaatar, December 5, 2025 /MONTSAME/. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the United Mexican States, non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United Mexican States, Batbayar Ulziidelger, visited the country on November 27-28, 2025.
When working in Mexico City, Ambassador Batbayar held several meetings with Deputy Foreign Minister, María Teresa Mercado Pérez; Deputy in the Chamber of Deputies and President of the Mexico-Mongolia Parliamentary Group, Tatiana Tonantzin P. Ángeles Moreno; Executive Director of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation, Alejandra Del Moral Vela; and General Treasurer of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism, Rosa Elena García Hidalgo.
During the meetings, the two sides reviewed the achievements
of the past 50 years of bilateral relations, noted the broad potential for
expanding ties in the future, and exchanged views on opportunities to advance
cooperation in politics, trade, investment, agriculture, tourism, education,
culture, and science.
To mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Embassy of Mongolia in the United States hosted a reception at the National Museum of World Cultures in Mexico City. At the event, the opening of the “Khuree Tsam-108” exhibition was held, followed by a cultural performance by artists from the Anura Music Academy to promote Mongolia’s cultural heritage. Moreover, guests were introduced to the exhibition “Mongolia: From the Gobi Desert to the Altai Mountains” by French photographer Philippe Paquet, which was on display at the museum.
