Best participants of photo competition ‘My memory of Japan’ awarded

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An award-presenting ceremony of a photo competition titled ‘‘My memory of Japan’, which was co-organized by the Embassy of Japan in Mongolia, New Juulchin Tours, Canon Mongolia, Ajisen ramen restaurant and the Union of Mongolian Photographers, took place on January 10 in Gegeenten cinema.
The first competition aimed to promote friendly ties between Mongolia and Japan alongside showing Japan, its culture, customs and citizens’ life from various sides.
Participant of the competition M.Anudariya won the first place with her photo named ‘Asakusa’ while D.Tumurbaatar took the second place with his photo ‘Olympic gift’, A.Ariunbayar the third place with photo ‘Homage’. Moreover, photos ‘Respect’ by B.Baljinnyam and ‘Samurai’ by O.Sukhbat received special prizes.
In his opening remarks at the ceremony, Advisor to the Embassy of Japan Sh.Hayashi said "We aimed to make Mongolians feel Japan through the event. And I wish more Mongolians head to Japan and visit many fascinating places besides Tokyo and Kyoto. I hope that many Mongolians would travel to Japan to experience Tokyo Olympics, Paralympics and also Mongolian teams, and athletes would bring numerous medals to their home country.
