Minister L.Enkh-Amgalan: Evaluation of researchers will be improved

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On February 3, Minister of Education and Science L.Enkh-Amgalan held a meeting with representatives of the science and technology sector.
Noting the importance of practical research and its economic benefits, he said, “Research and project results carried out with financing from the state budget that are being kept at the Science and Technology Fund should be made available for the public. Furthermore, as it is impossible to develop the science sector with the current average salary of researchers, improvements will be made regarding the matter.
Despite the various policy documents and plans for the sector, their execution continues to lack when it comes to financing. Thus, the financing system for the science and technology sector will be brought to a new level. As the sector’s minister, I will personally visit all research institutions to become acquainted with the current working conditions of our scholars and researchers.”
Representatives of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and other research institutions attended the meeting, sharing their views on issues that must be resolved.
