Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. The 14th workshop meeting of the ‘Energy Efficient Buildings in Extreme Continental and Sunny Climate’ (CEBEC) project, financed by European Union with an aim to improve the quality of higher education in Mongolia, has successfully held on August 15-18, 2022 at Lund University, Sweden.

Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mongolian University of Life Sciences (MULS), German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) from Mongolian side, along with Lund University from Sweden and Tallinn Technical University from Estonia, are collaborating on this project.

In order to purchase necessary laboratory equipment, software and textbooks, and to develop the course contents that are to be taught by the universities from Mongolian side, Lund University and Tallinn Technical University are sharing their knowledge and experience in the field.

Despite the project being started in February 2020, due to COVID-19 situation, the 14th meeting was the first meeting that was held in person. During the workshop, the universities discussed the activities done regarding each work package along with their results, and planned the next steps to be taken. In addition, the participating university representatives visited ‘Scandinavian Green Roof Institute’ a company which operates in the field of green infrastructure such as green roofs, living walls and storm water management, and ‘SYSAV’ a waste-to-energy plant in Malmo, Sweden.
