Stunning Win of O. Tsetsentsengel in Tel Aviv Grand Slam

Ulaanbaatar, February 20, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The 2023 Judo Grand Slam was held between February 16 to 18. The beautiful city of Tel Aviv played host to the final day of an amazing Grand Slam as the sun set on another successful Judo tournament in Israel.

On the final day of the Grand Slam, representing Mongolia, O. Tsetsentsengel bagged a gold medal in the men’s +100 kg category with his stunning 1-0 win over Kokauri Ushangi from Azerbaijan, whereas G. Altanbagana received his fourth bronze medal from the Grand Slam in the men’s -90 kg with 1-0 over Silva Morales Ivan Felipe from Cuba. 


From 56 countries, 417 judokas competed in Tel Aviv Grand Slam 2023. Mongolian 18 judokas wrestled and G. Narantsetseg placed at 5th place in the women’s -48 kg category, following E. Sumyabazar 7th place in the -60 kg category, and World Champion Ts. Tsogtbaatar 5th place in the -73 kg category.
