Para-Athletes Bring Home Two Bronze from Grand Prix Antalya

Ulaanbaatar, April 4, 2024. /MONTSAME/. Right after the IJF Antalya Grand Slam 2024, the IBSA Judo Grand Prix Antalya 2024, an Olympic qualification tournament, successfully took place on April 1-2, 2024, bringing together over 200 competitors from 42 countries.


Under the guidance of Hero of Labour and Honored Athlete of Mongolia Tsagaanbaatar Khashbaatar, seven Mongolian judokas ran in the Grand Prix. Among them, in the men’s +90 kg category, Gold, Silver, Bronze Medalist of Asian Games, Asian Champion Ganbat Dahstseren, and in the women’s -70 kg category, Silver Medalist of World Championships, Bronze Medalist of Asian Games, Asian Champion Turuunaa Lkhaijav both captured the bronze medal at the IBSA Judo Grand Prix Antalya 2024.


The final list of para-athletes competing in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will be announced on June 30, 2024. This follows the last Paralympic qualification tournament, the Grand Prix in Tbilisi, Georgia, which will take place on May 18, 2024. Mongolian judokas, among many others, will be vying for qualification spots at this tournament.
