Premier Oyun-Erdene Receives Ambassador Shen Minjuan

Ulaanbaatar, April 8, 2024. /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Mongolia Shen Minjuan on April 5, 2024. 


At the Meeting, Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene expressed satisfaction that relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China are developing, resulting in concrete progress. Specifically, Premier Oyun-Erdene noted his participation in the Opening Ceremony of the passenger and cargo transport complex at the Zamiin-Uud border port with Ambassador Shen Minjuan. Also, the two sides highlighted the signing of the Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of China on the Construction of the Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod Cross-Border Railway and the Letter of Exchange for a Project to Establish Mongolia-China Cooperation Center for Combating Desertification.


The two parties deliberated on accelerating concrete cooperation between the two countries, focusing on several important topics, such as alleviating traffic congestion and reducing agglomeration in Ulaanbaatar City, as well as fostering bilateral cooperation in renewable energy. Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene introduced that the Government of Mongolia launched the "Go Mongolia" National Tourism Branding in conjunction with the Government's announcement 2023-2025 as the "Years to Visit Mongolia." In light of this initiative, Mr. Oyun-Erdene proposed to implement specific projects and programs aimed at expanding and developing tourism cooperation in the border areas of the two countries.
