Excess Wheat to Be Exported

Ulaanbaatar, April 11, 2024 /MONTSAME/. At its regular session on April 10, 2024, the Cabinet decided to adopt the Government Resolution on Some Measures to Be Taken in Crop Farming.
Following this resolution, the Food Safety National Council will immediately discuss the issue of exporting wheat exceeding the national need. Also, Minister of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry Kh. Bolorchuluun was assigned to announce in April of each year the benchmark price of fourth-grade wheat that meets standards based on the wheat cost analysis of that year and define the actual cost of wheat to be supplied to the “Agriculture Corporation” state-owned enterprise within August.
Moreover, the Government decided to provide farmers with wheat seed that was bought with State budget funding for 2024 spring cultivation at a discounted price of 30 percent and seeds of potatoes, vegetables, and green-house plants at an 80 percent discount.
