"Go Mongolia" Event to Be Organized in Tokyo This May

Ulaanbaatar, April 12, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Chairman of Citizens' Representative Khural of Ulaanbaatar Batbayasgalan Jantsan visited Tokyo at the invitation of Udagawa Satoshi, President of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly.

Chairman J. Batbayasgalan met with President of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Udagawa Satoshi and Deputy Chairman Masuko Hiroki to discuss the cooperation between the two cities.  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Japan B. Bayarsaikhan and Ambassador Counselor of the Embassy A. Delgermaa attended the meeting.

Mr. Udagawa Satoshi said, "Mongolia and Japan, as two countries that value democracy, human rights, and the rule of law are developing a Special Strategic Partnership. In recent years, our cooperation has expanded in the fields of economy and investment. In addition, Mongolian wrestlers have been highly successful in Japanese sumo wrestling. Within the framework of the cooperation between Ulaanbaatar and Tokyo, we have collaborated in improving Ulaanbaatar's sewage treatment plant, and disaster prevention, particularly firefighting and rescue operation.

In response, Chairman J. Batbayasgalan said, " Through the years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries Japan has consistently supported Mongolia's development projects and programs, helped overcome challenges, and has made a significant contribution to the development of numerous sectors including health, education, culture, and human development. I believe that our cooperation in many fields will further develop through people-to-people relations of the two countries.”

Informing that Mongolia plans to organize a major event to promote the country and its tourism sector under the slogan "Go Mongolia." in May 2024, in Tokyo, Mr. Batbayasgalan invited the Japanese counterpart. In addition, Mr. Udagawa Satoshi was invited to visit Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, at his convenience.
