Gashuunsukhait Port Reconstruction 44 Percent Complete
Last year, our country exported more than
60 million tons of coal. More than 60 percent of it, or 36.5 million tons, was
exported through Gashuunsukhait port alone. The head of the Customs Department
in Gashuunsukhait, L. Ganbayar, informed about this during the consultation of
the management staff of the Customs Organization.
He mentioned that 44 percent of the
reconstruction works at Gashuunsukhait port have been completed. The delay in
construction was primarily attributed to the Covid-19 pandemic, climatic
conditions at the port, and natural disasters.
