Mongolia to have 9 consecutive non-working days on Naadam Festival this year
At its last week’s session dated June 23, the cabinet made a decision to organize the celebration of the forthcoming Naadam Festival – commemorating the 2230th anniversary of Foundation of the first Mongolian Statehood, 815th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire and 100th anniversary of People’s Revolution of Mongolia - without audience and with online live translation with a view to prevent from further local transmission of COVID-19 cases.

COVID-19: 1,727 new cases, 15 deaths reported
At the regular press briefing of the Ministry of Health for today on June 29, it was reported that 1,727 new cases were detected in Mongolia. More specifically, 934 new cases were detected in the capital city, with 790 cases in aimags.

Youth Hackathon aims to unlock digital solutions on air pollution
On June 26, the online UNLEASH Hackathon kicked off with more than 100 young innovators from across Mongolia. The online programme will center around the creation of sustainable digital solutions to address air pollution in Mongolia for a healthy future. The Hackathon also allows participants to learn from UNICEF experts, scientists, community leaders, and entrepreneurs to address issues around air pollution and climate change.

National Development Agency signs MoU with ICT Group LLC
The Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministry of Finance, and the National Development Agency have jointly ranked the ‘100 Projects and Measures to be Implemented in Priority Sector’ that will have a significant impact on post-pandemic economic recovery and development and the Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene introduced it to the public within the framework of the 100 days of the Government.

53.1 percent of population fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Since the vaccination rollout launched in Mongolia in February, 1,956,403 people have been vaccinated with the first dose of vaccine and 1,726,339 people or 53.1 percent with the second dose.
