Number of orphans declines in 2015
SocietyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At a national level in 2015, the number of orphans reached 37.9 thousand, 3.8 thousand or 10.2% of them are double orphans, and 34.1 thousand or 89.8% of them are half orphans.
The number of double orphans decreased in 2015 by 128 or 3.2%, and the half orphans--by 993 or 2.8% against 2014.
3.9 thousand or 10.3% of all the orphans are aged 0-4 years old, 8.3 thousand or 21.9%--5-9 years old, 12.6 thousand or 33.2%--10-14 years old, 4.8 thousand or 12.6%--15 years old, 4.2 thousand or 11.1%--16 years old, and 4.1 thousand or 10.9%--17 years old.
